Women in eDiscovery Marks Two Year Anniversary and Appoints Regional Directors

Women in eDiscovery announced today the names of new regional directors and is proudly celebrating its two year anniversary. Women in eDiscovery is an organization that brings together businesswomen interested in technology related to the legal industry, providing them opportunities to help each other grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition. In 2007, the organization held its first meeting in Washington, D.C. with 30 women in attendance. In a short period of time, the organization has achieved global reach with nearly 3,500 members.

Women in eDiscovery has 28 chapters across three countries. Over the past year Women in eDiscovery has added 10 new chapters with 13 more expected to start in 2009. The organization’s 3,500 members comprise women from all walks of life, including general counsel, secretaries, partners, associates, chief operating officers, paralegals, and litigation support and e-discovery professionals.

National co-founders include Margaret Havinga from the District of Columbia law firm, Williams and Connolly, Shawnna Childress from Navigant Consulting, and Lana Schell of Clearwell Systems.

Because of the rapid growth of this organization, the co-founders requested members to volunteer to serve as regional directors.

Women in eDiscovery regional directors include:
· Babs Deacon – Northeast and International Regions
· Lisa Ghezzi – Southeast Region
· Lindsay Stengle – Central Region
· Twilla Case – West Region
